Fire Risk Assessment

All DoorTECH products are supplied and fitted on a ‘Risk Assessed’ basis. It is the legal obligation of any customer to have carried out a suitable and sufficient Fire Risk Assessment. In relation to the actuation of fire door release mechanisms such as Dorgard, Dorgard System X and Freedor a Fire Risk Assessment will determine which category of device (A, B or C) is required or recommended for each individual door.

DoorTECH are able to offer comprehensive Fire Risk Assessment using our team of Fire Safety consultants with on average over 30 years experience. They are qualified to deal in all areas of Fire Safety in a range of industries and are all high-ranking members of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) and Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM).

Our Fire Risk Assessment process starts with an interview with the responsible and/or competent person for your site. This is designed to ascertain the level of management procedures with regard to Fire Safety and to understand your premises work practices. Our fully insured risk assessor will then conduct an inspection of your site and the areas in the immediate vicinity. This will involve taking detailed information from members of staff, record requesting and taking photographic evidence if necessary. The produced report will be documented in three stages: review, implementation and action plan.
