Dorgard ™ System X

As with the standard Dorgard ™, System X enables fire doors to be kept open safely and legally. Dorgard ™ System X is the optimum solution and default requirement in the absence of a qualified Fire Risk Assessment.

Dorgard ™ System X is more reliable in the event of an alarm and far less susceptible to false activation by ambient noise than the standard Dorgard ™, making it more suitable for noisier environments such as: Schools, nurseries, restaurants, clubs/bars, etc…

Dorgard ™ System X is a Category B device as specified in BS 7273-4, which details the actuation requirements of release mechanisms for fire doors, which also makes it more suitable for higher risk areas such as: Stairwells, kitchens, laundries, common/dining rooms, etc….

Features:

• complies with BS EN 1155 and accepted by the fire service
• improves access for wheelchair users in line with the DDA

System X Acoustic

The wireless version of System X incorporates the very latest radio technology and is installed beside the fire alarm bell or sounder. On identifying an alarm condition using tried and tested acoustic technology, the unit automatically signals to all linked devices to release doors. One unit can transmit simultaneously to multiple Dorgard ™ X units within a 100 metre range, subject to a site specific survey. System X Acoustic is suitable where a Category B or C actuation device is specified within your Fire Risk Assessment.

System X Hardwired

System X hardwired is wired directly into the fire control panel’s fire and fault relay or loop via an I/O unit. The System X unit utilises Wi-Fi technology to communicate with all linked devices to release doors. One unit can transmit simultaneously to multiple Dorgard ™ X units within a 1000 metre range, subject to a site specific survey. System X Hardwired is suitable where a Category A actuation device is specified within your Fire Risk Assessment.

Annual Service/Maintenance

Includes battery change, full test and calibration check, any necessary adjustments and/or repairs. From only £18.00 + vat per unit p/annum (Subject to minimum annual charge of £150.00 + vat based on 8no units).

A full range of replacement covers, floor plates and rubber ferrules is available.
